Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been &#8220;sucking up to Hollywood royalty&#8221; albeit unsuccessfully, according to a royal commentator.
Richard Eden drew comparisons between the Duke and Duchess of Sus𝓈ℯ𝓍&#8217;s attempts to woo new celebrity friendship and Prince William&#8217;s easy relationship with big names such as American pop star Taylor Swift.
Speaking to the Daily Mail&#8217;s Palace Confidential, Mr Eden said: &#8220;It&#8217;s a very different relationship because, essentially, Taylor Swift is here and she wants to show her respect for the Royal Family.
In a way, you could say [she is] paying court to Prince William whereas with Harry and Meghan, it&#8217;s the other way round. They&#8217;re the ones who seem to be always sucking up to Hollywood royalty.

They thought when they moved to California, &#8216;we&#8217;ll be at the centre of this sort of royal court and everyone will come to see us.&#8217; But it never seems to be working out like that.&#8221;

Prince William has banned Prince Harry from a royal return &#8220;in any way, shape or form&#8221;, claimed an inside source.
It has been reported that William has taken on the role of being the disciplinarian &#8211; a role within the family that used to be held by the late Prince Philip.
As part of the claims, which were made in response to a new YouGov poll about the most popular male royal, William has been described as the one who rules the family &#8220;with a rod iron&#8221;.
As the Daily Beast reported, a source said: &#8220;There is a sense that William has stepped into the Prince Philip role. Philip ruled the family with a rod of iron&#8230;
