Hopes for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s UK return have been dashed, with a Royal Family expert pinpointing one key reason.
The Duke and Duchess of Sus𝓈ℯ𝓍 reportedly have fears of bringing their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to the UK while they don’t have their security.
Harry has been fighting for taxpayer-funded security when he visits the UK for several months &#8211; despite no longer being a working royal.

GB News’s royal correspondent Cameron Walker said: &#8220;He doesn’t feel his family is safe when they’re in the UK because they do not have police protection officers with the Metropolitan Police with him.

&#8220;So perhaps that is the main reason why Prince Harry isn’t bringing Meghan and Archie and Lilibet over to the UK because he can’t guarantee, he would say he can’t guarantee their safety.&#8221;

It was ruled by the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) in February 2020 that the Duke of Sus𝓈ℯ𝓍 should receive a different level of security from the rest of the Royal Family.
Although Harry protested against the outcome, earlier this year High Court judge Sir Peter Lane ruled that Ravec&#8217;s decision was &#8220;not irrational&#8221; and would stand.
Earlier this month however news broke that the Duke of Sus𝓈ℯ𝓍 will now be able to appeal this ruling, in spite of the huge amount of money it has already cost him and the British taxpayer.
