In January 2024, when the Jonas Brothers performed at the Lollapalooza music festival in Mumbai, Nick Jonas received a warm welcome from the crowd, who enthusiastically chanted “jiju jiju.” This affectionate nickname stems from his marriage to Priyanka Chopra, making him the unofficial “national jiju” of India. Nick elaborated on this unique title during his recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

While discussing his role as Priyanka&#8217;s husband, Nick explained, “As you know, I am married to Priyanka. When we got married, this hashtag started. I was ‘National Jiju.’ Jiju means elder sister’s husband, so effectively I’m the older brother to India.” Fallon even played a clip from the Mumbai concert where Joe and Kevin Jonas introduced Nick as “Jiju,” prompting the crowd to chant in excitement.
