After an old interview from 2012 came to light and went viral, Anne Hathaway apologized profusely for her impolite actions. Earlier this week, reporter Kjersti Flaa, who nearly quit her job following her now-famous &#8220;nightmare&#8221; interview with Blake Lively, shared a video of her meeting with Hathaway on YouTube.
Flaa disclosed on Tuesday that Hathaway, 41, had apologized to her via a &#8220;long email&#8221; for the &#8220;cringe&#8221; interview she had previously had with her. &#8220;I must admit, I was quite taken aback,&#8221; the reporter stated in a recent TikTok video.

At the beginning of the interview, Flaa jokingly asked Hathaway to answer her first question by singing.
‘I was going to sing the question to you and you can sing back the answer,’ she said while laughing.
‘Well, I won’t be doing that, but you’re more than welcome to sing,’ Hathaway responded.
Flaa went on to ask Hathaway questions about if she remembered her first crush or believed ‘love was more passionate’ during the time period of Lès Miserables is based in.

The interview took place while Hathaway was promoting Lès Miserables in 2012. In response to both questions, Hathaway replied curtly and answered simply: ‘No.’
When discussing the interview several years later, Flaa admitted online that it ‘didn’t go as planned.’ Flaa had also urged her followers to watch their ‘cringe’ interview, which she posted on her YouTube channel.
In her recent TikTok post, Flaa said that receiving an apology from Hathaway was ‘so touching to me.’
‘Just talking about it makes me almost teary-eyed,’ she said.
‘I was just so grateful that she did that,’ she continued.
The reporter explained: ‘It was a very personal note and we decided that I wouldn’t share exactly what was in the email, but I just wanted to share with you guys what she did because I thought that was just so amazing.’
The reporter continued, adding that she replied to the email with gratitude, accepted Hathway’s apology and even offered to sit down with her for another chat.

Flaa has since revealed that Lively never reached out to apologize for her “horrific” comments.
She recalled: ‘I said, “If you ever want to sit down and talk about it, I’m here.” And she invited me to interview her for her next movie that’s coming out in May.’
Flaa added, ‘I have so much respect for people who own up to their mistakes and say they’re sorry. Sorry is such a powerful word.’
Flaa seemed to be referencing her previous admission when she revealed that Lively never reached out to apologize for her ‘horrific’ comments during their interview.
‘It was a long time ago now, I have no hard feelings about it,’ she concluded.
