It&#8217;s no secret that Eddie Hearn and Oscar De La Hoya don&#8217;t get along. Because of this, &#8216;The Golden Boy&#8217; made sure to criticize his colleague promoter following Anthony Joshua&#8217;s devastating knockout defeat this past weekend.
For background, &#8216;AJ&#8217;, who is promoted by Hearn&#8217;s Matchroom Boxing, has been winning a lot of fights after losing to Oleksandr Usyk, the former undisputed heavyweight champion, twice in a row. When he faced Daniel Dubois on September 21, he had won four straight fights.

However, the Briton was outclassed by &#8216;Dynamite&#8217;, and ultimately succumbed to a fifth-round KO. In the recent segment on De La Hoya&#8217;s &#8216;Clapback Thursdays&#8217;, the former world champion slammed Joshua&#8217;s manager Hearn, saying:
&#8220;Some of my frenimies had a really sh*tty weekend&#8230; Anthony Joshua was knocked out in the fifth round by Dubois. It was actually an amazing fight, and I like &#8216;AJ&#8217;, however, this was another huge L for Eddie Hearn, who is literally 0-11 to Frank Warren this year!
De La Hoya&#8217;s &#8220;0-11&#8221; remark is a call back to when Hearn&#8217;s Matchroom Boxing went 0-10 to Frank Warren&#8217;s Queensberry Promotions in their inaugural 5 vs. 5 boxing event in Riyadh in June. Now &#8216;The Golden Boy&#8217; has added Joshua&#8217;s loss to that record, since Dubois is promoted by Warren.

Furthermore, in his rant, De La Hoya faulted Hearn for Joshua&#8217;s slipping career, saying:
&#8220;This continues the Matchroom curse, meaning if you sign with Matchroom you&#8217;re either guaranteed to lose or get injured&#8230; Eddie, you cant build a fighter to save your life. Anthony Joshua had the world at his finger tips and you found a way to fumble his career&#8221;

<h2>When Eddie Hearn clapped back on Oscar De La Hoya&#8217;s &#8216;Clapback Thursdays&#8217;</h2>
Oscar De La Hoya was not thrilled with Canelo Alvarez choosing to fight Edgar Berlanga in his latest outing. Sure enough, he voiced his dissent on one of his &#8216;Clapback Thursdays&#8217; segments.
The boxing legend believed that Alvarez vs. Berlanga was a fight no one asked for. Eddie Hearn believes &#8216;The Golden Boy&#8217; should use his &#8216;Clapback Thursdays&#8217; to promote the fighters he has and not obsess over the ones he lost. In an interview with DAZN, the Macthroom Boxing chairman said:
&#8220;His &#8216;Clapback Thursdays&#8217; or whatever, I think it&#8217;s quite a good idea, but he spends every &#8216;Clapback Thursday&#8217; talking about Canelo Alvarez. I mean, [rather than] slagging off the fight on DAZN, which is his broadcaster, he could be promoting his own fighters. [Gilberto] &#8216;Zerdo&#8217; Ramirez, [William] Zepeda, [Jaime] Munguia.&#8221;
